Cracked Corn
Cracked corn is corn kernels that have been dried and cracked into pieces that are easier for birds to eat and digest than unbroken or whole kernels. The size of grains can vary depending on what type of grinder is used to crack the corn, and what purpose the cracked corn will serve, but coarse grinding is preferred to create birdseed.
While cracked corn does not have a high oil percentage, it is rich in both protein and fiber and is an excellent supplemental food to offer wildlife, backyard birds, gamebirds & poultry. Cracked corn will not sprout or grow, so it is a good "no-waste" bird food for backyard wild bird feeding.
